BIOGRAPHIE

Jacques Molitor was born in Luxembourg’s capital on February 15th, 1980.
After two years of medical studies, he enrolled at film school «Institut des Arts de Diffusion » (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), where he obtained a degree with honors.

In 2003, Jacques took a trip to California for the summer production workshop « directing intensive » at prestigious University of Southern California USC. Lecturers: William H. Macy, Romain Gary among others.

Jacques’s IAD thesis project "Gemini" is a bold mixture of traditional film and animation techniques and was screened at Korea’s SICAF and Munich Student Film Festival…

In 2008, Jacques co-wrote and directed the ambitious short "En compagnie de la poussière ". It was screened in the official short competition at Locarno, as well as in numerous international festivals: Les Films du Monde in Montréal, Ghent Film Festival, Dresden Film Festival, Torino LGBT, etc.
"En compagnie de la poussière" has also been shown on the TV channel ARTE.

His latest short film, the Belgian/Luxembourg 35mm co-production "Bonobo" (2009) was broadcast on France 2 television.

More recently, Jacques has directed music videos for Luxembourg recording artist Daniel Balthasarʼs songs "Ocean" and "Accidentally", as well as the first cinema ad for AIDS prevention organisation "Paticka".

FUTURE PROJECTS:
Jacques is currently finishing a 90 min. creative documentary about sexuality in Luxembourg called «Sweetheart come», produced by Red Lion.

Together with producer Lucil Films, he's developing his first fiction feature, to be shot in 2013.
